Pierre Corriveau , Quebec, 1889- 1980, St.-Etienne-des-Gres, Corriveau was a very creative and productive sculptor carving every type of animal both in still as well as in dynamic form like whirlygigs. He traditionally used found materials. This creation is a large hand carved and painted folk art seal, with painted eyes, wire whiskers, charming expression , some wear, age splits. 33"L x 9"H x 10"W.
