Eddie Mondaggio, 1927-2003, worked originally in Northern Manitoba as a trapper and guide, worked later in NS on the railroad and in logging camps, started to paint around 1975, his work has been document by the National Film Board, several folk art reference books and has been exhibited at the Art Gallery of NS and the Beaverbrook Gallery. This is an oil on masonite work depicting cattle and calves and a sheep, in the centre is a vividly painted tree, surrounded by a hand painted pine frame, signed lower left, very good condition. 31"W x 24"H frame size. 27"W x 21"H.
