This assortment of late 19th and early 20th-century advertising ephemera includes lithographed celluloid and tin items. The lot features a large Cascarets laxative button and multiple pieces for Sweet Caporal Cigarette and Star Brand Shoes.Several items contain legible maker marks for The Whitehead & Hoag Co. of Newark, N.J., including various 1894 and 1896 patent dates. A blue Dennison's adhesive stickpin is also included.The Cascarets button exhibits significant reverse rust and oxidation. Smaller pinbacks show light surface scuffing and minor oxidation to the pins. The stickpin has heavy paint loss and corrosion along the needle.
