A pair of Lancaster County Amish hand-painted gourd birdhouses with glossy varnished surfaces and leather straps. One gourd features tulips and is signed SPEICHER '22 on the front in green paint. The second gourd depicts an owl withsunflowers and is signed FRIEDA '22 on the base in black. White paper tags attached to the leather cords indicate the pieces were handcrafted in Pennsylvania.Good overall condition with minor surface scuffing and paint loss, notably on the tulip-themed gourd. Natural textural irregularities and blemishes are present throughout, consistent with the organic nature of the dried gourd material.
