Two salt-glazed stoneware vessels by Phil Schaltenbrand for Westerwald Pottery. Includes a lidded cylindrical crock and a star-incised pitcher with a scroll handle, both decorated with cobalt blue floral motifs. Marks include a side stampreading 'WESTERWALD POTTERY SCENERY HILL EST. 1970' and incised 'P S 1 2' on the bases. Crock height 10 3/4 inches, base diameter 7 1/2 inches; Pitcher height 6 3/4 inches.Both pieces appear in very good condition. The crock has a small firing imperfection or shallow chip on the bottom rim edge. The pitcher and its applied scrolled handle are intact with no visible cracks or significant chips.
