This 1913 promotional lithographed tin calendar plate for City Bakery of Collinsville, Illinois, features a lithographic portrait of a woman encircled by a twelve-month calendar. Housed in an ornate square gilded gesso and wood frame, theplate is inscribed Compliments of City Bakery, John Ziegler, Prop. The wooden reverse features handwritten letters H Y. Frame measures 14.25 x 14.25 inches.The tin plate shows two vertical cracks from the rim and surface crazing. The reverse exhibits significant oxidation and a crude wire mounting.
