This cast bronze sculpture depicts a Japanese samurai warrior in detailed armor brandishing two swords. The figure stands in a dynamic pose atop a rocky terrain base mounted to a polished black stone plinth. An incised diamond emblemfollowed by four illegible Japanese characters is present on the shorter sword scabbard. The work is finished with a dark brown patina. 11 x 8.5 x 4.75 inches.The sculpture and stone base are in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor white residue is present in the crevices of the rocky terrain base. The black felt on the underside of the plinth shows light surface wear and lint.
