The Remington Model 550-1 is a classic American blowback-operated, semi-automatic rimfire rifle produced by Remington Arms from 1941 to 1971. Revered by collectors and shooters alike, its defining feature is its ability to seamlessly mix and cycle different ammunition types without manual adjustment. Designed by legendary firearms inventors Kenneth Lowe and David "Carbine" Williams, the rifle features a unique floating chamber. This movable steel sleeve inside the barrel automatically adjusts to the gas pressure of the cartridge.
