The Browning Auto-5 "Light 12" is a lightweight, semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun renowned for its distinct "humpback" receiver profile and historic long-recoil operating system. Designed by John Moses Browning in 1898, it was the first commercially successful mass-produced semi-automatic shotgun. The Light Twelve variant specifically altered the standard framework to reduce weight for upland hunting and easier field carry.
