2014 1 Oz Australian Saltwater Crocodile Silver Coin struck by the Perth Mint from 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver. The reverse features a dramatic saltwater crocodile with its mouth open and teeth displayed, along with the 2014 date, weight, purity, and Perth Mint “P” mint mark. The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the $1 AUD denomination. The Saltwater Crocodile is the largest living reptile and is native to northern Australia and parts of Southeast Asia. The 2014 issue had a maximum mintage of 1,000,000 pieces, adding collectible appeal to its substantial silver content. A great choice for collectors of Australian wildlife coins, Perth Mint issues, or .999 fine silver.
