2017 1 Oz Australian Silver Kookaburra featuring the special Rooster Privy Mark, celebrating 2017 as the Year of the Rooster in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Struck by the Perth Mint, this sovereign Australian bullion coin contains 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver and carries a $1 AUD face value. The reverse features two iconic kookaburras perched on a wooden fence along with the distinctive rooster privy mark, while the obverse bears the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The Kookaburra series was introduced by the Perth Mint in 1990 and is known for its changing annual reverse designs.
