An assortment of approximately 38 pieces of antique and vintage American sheet music dating from the 1910s through the 1950s. The collection focuses on the Jazz Age and Tin Pan Alley eras, featuring publications from major houses includingHarms, Inc., M. Witmark & Sons, Leo Feist, Inc., Mills Music, Inc., T.B. Harms, Robbins-Engel, Inc., and Jerome H. Remick & Co. Notable standards include Star Dust with lyrics by Mitchell Parish and music by Hoagy Carmichael, published byMills Music, and two copies of My Man (Mon Homme) as sung by Fanny Brice in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1921 with music by Maurice Yvain. Broadway and revue history is represented by Irving Berlin titles for the Ziegfeld Follies of 1920 suchas Tell Me Little Gypsy and Bells, as well as Valencia (A Song of Spain) from the Shubert production The Great Temptations and I Can't Give You Anything But Love (Baby) from Lew Leslie's Blackbirds of 1928. Several pieces feature filmThe collection is in overall fair to good condition, consistent with age and typical handling. Visible defects include general paper toning and areas of foxing. Many items show edge wear, small tears, and minor chipping.
