Excellent iron and steel hanging bracket with molded wood frame in a dark red finish. Two separate signs painted on composition the word "Lacon" painted on one side with a dashing individual and "The Gari Lacons" painted on the other side. Gari Lacons translates roughly as a dashing food. Worthy of more research. Most probably an early-20th-century French tavern sign. 49"H x 36"W Dirt and soiling, drops of paint. As-found condition and would benefit from a professional cleaning.
