1860-1880 mahogany frame machine used in laboratories to produce static electricity through friction against the glass cylinder during experiments. Provenance: The collection of Russell and Darlene Snyder. 17"H x 24"W Loss of red paint to metal cylinder. Acorn shape turn screw with no finish left and possible replacement.
