Another rare example from this collection. Clockwork mechanism with cast iron base stamped makers information. Nickel-plated shaft with original, adjustable cloth fly screens. You lift on the nickel-plated rod to wind the mechanism and let go to let it unwind and twirl the fans. These would be placed around food in the house or in a restaurant/bakery/general store to keep bugs away. Provenance: The collection of Russell and Darlene Snyder. 34"H Mechanism works sparingly and needs an adjustment.
