Nickel-plated base marked "Hunts Fly Brush Pat May 22 1883 Parker & Parker Manfr's Boston Mass". Integrated is a cruet set. Key wind mechanism causes the attached fans to agitate causing flies and bugs to stay away from the condiments and the food on your Victorian table. The arms can be positioned at different angles. Exceedingly rare example. Working condition, includes the key. Provenance: The collection of Russell and Darlene Snyder. 36 1/2"H Covers with bird design later addition. Some areas of loss to nickel-plate. One stopper missing from cruet set, others with wear.
