Beautiful paint and strong condition. This red and mustard comb paint trimmed in red is seen on blanket chests originating in the Manheim area of Lancaster County. Ca. 1840-1850. Pine with interior till, original lock and key, dovetailed, turned feet, butt hinges have not been moved or replaced. Difficult to improve upon. 26"H x 50"W x 22"D Scattered wear to paint. Piece of wood missing above front right foot on side.
