"RC Talashie" Hopi Pottery Vase – Geometric Design

Handcrafted Hopi pottery vase featuring an extensive hand-painted geometric design in deep black over a warm orange-red clay body. The vessel has a tall cylindrical form with gently rounded sides and is decorated around the exterior with bold geometric panels incorporating stepped forms, arches, linear elements, abstract motifs, and repeating bands characteristic of the strong graphic aesthetic associated with Southwestern pottery. The bottom is signed/initialed “RCT” by the artist and retains an older handwritten $27.50 notation. The exact identity of the artist has not been confirmed, so the piece is being cataloged according to the initials present rather than attributing it to a specific potter.
