Excellent example of the Richmond Pattern 2-piece sword belt buckle retaining an excellent plum and verdigris patina. Verbal history has this dug at Malone's Crossroads near Dinwiddie, Virginia in the early 1980s. For reference see Steve Mullinax's book "Confederate Belt Buckles and Plates". This style is typically only found on Virginia Battlefields. LOA from Army of Tennessee Relics. Provenance: The collection of Craig and Cynthia Wertz. 2"H x 3 1/4"W Excellent example.
