A large two-piece china cabinet and buffet hutch in the French Provincial style, dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. The unit is constructed from polished wood with a warm reddish-brown tone, featuring cherry or fruitwood veneers. The upper section is topped with a prominent multi-scalloped arched pediment featuring a centrally carved foliate and scroll-work motif. Below the pediment are four glazed doors; the central pair contains clear glass, while the outer pair is fitted with decorative diamond-pattern glazing bars. The interior provides two wooden shelves, one of which includes integrated plate grooves for display. The lower section functions as a buffet base with four cupboard doors, each accented with a raised arched panel and ornate cast-metal drop handles. The interior of the base contains additional shelving and a single pull-out drawer intended for flatware. The piece is finished with a scalloped apron featuring a central carved scroll detail and is raised on short, stylized cabriole legs. Hardware includes cast-metal swing handles with decorative backplates and external pin hinges. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Height approx. 82 inches Width approx. 62.5 inches Depth approx. 15 inches. Condition: The cabinet exhibits signs of age-related wear, including minor surface scratches and scuffs to the wood finish, particularly along the edges and base. The metal hardware shows some patination consistent with age. All glass panels are intact and the unit remains structurally sound.
