Manufactured by the Standard Radio Corporation of Japan, this Transistor 7 portable radio features a coral-pink moulded plastic cabinet. The front face is designed with a perforated speaker grille to the left and a silver-toned metal-effect dial plate to the right. It is marked with a script Standard logo and an embossed Transistor 7 nameplate that includes a triangular SR lightning bolt symbol. Tuning and volume are controlled by two black thumbwheel dials set into the right side, with a tuning indicator visible through a clear plastic window. The side panel contains a single-pin earphone jack and a two-pin socket, while the reverse panel includes an external antenna port and an embossed manufacturer mark. The radio is accompanied by a brown leather carrying case. Dimensions (measured against a ruler, only inches shown): W approx. 15.2 cm (6 inches) x H approx. 9.5 cm (3.75 inches). Condition: The radio is in fair condition with surface grime, scuffs, and minor pitting to the metal-effect trim. The reverse panel has a large patch of adhesive residue. The leather case is in poor condition with heavy wear, surface cracking, and a perished strap. The unit is untested and the working order is unknown.
