Produced in China and dating to the late 1960s to 70s, this pair of traditional Asian-style Tang jackets features mandarin collars and front knotted frog closures. Constructed of a bright turquoise silk satin-weave jacquard woven with floral and bamboo motifs alongside a vibrant yellow cotton-blend plain-weave example, both jackets include dual lower patch pockets and side hem vents. Inner collar labels present include "Youth Shanghai, China" (Size S) on the turquoise garment and "Swallow Fish Made in China" on the yellow garment. Condition is consistent with age and minimal use, displaying light creasing, occasional loose thread ends along seam lines, and slight fabric wrinkling. Dimensions measure 18 in. to 20 in. armpit-to-armpit and 26in. to 28 in. overall length. Meant to fit larger, not tailored. Featuring bold colors and classic oriental tailorship, this set makes an attractive addition to a vintage wardrobe or loungewear collection.
