Dating to the late 1970s to early 1980s, this pair includes two distinct hand-worked antique lace collars. The larger, wider collar is constructed of fine off-white linen featuring substantial needle-lace trim and extensive eyelet embroidery. The design showcases three scalloped, medallion-style panels with hand-embroidered floral sprays, interspersed with ornate geometric needlelace work and finished with a heavily scalloped lace border. An interior paper size or laundry tag marked "4" is visible near the inner collar. The second collar is a more elaborate, denser piece likely of Venice or Irish crochet lace, accented throughout with faux pearls. It forms a V-shaped or plastron design, composed of intricate floral, scroll, and leaf motifs, with a large, heavily pearl-accented medallion at the center and detailed lace finishing along the inner neck edge and elongated front tail. Both collars show normal signs of age appropriate wear and storage. The wider embroidery collar displays subtle spot discoloration and light fraying, but remains structurally sound. The more ornate pearl lace collar appears to retain most of its pearls and displays normal aging to the lace fibers without visible tears or severe damage. Measurements are 14in L x 8 in W for the embroidery collar, and 12 in L x 7 in W for the beaded lace collar. Preserved in good overall vintage condition, this lot offers a strong display pair of period needlework, appealing to collectors of antique textiles or historical fashion display.
