Vintage 1960s Men's Tweed "Guncheck" Sport Coat

Dating to the 1960s, this men's custom-tailored sport coat jacket appears to be constructed of woven wool or a wool blend in a classic houndstooth guncheck pattern of olive green, brown, cream, and black. The single-breasted jacket features narrow notch lapels, a two-button front closure, four decorative cuff buttons, a left chest welt pocket, dual lower flap pockets, and a ventless back. The half-lined interior is lined with a patterned grey geometric satin fabric facing, though no maker or content labels remain present. Condition appears good overall, displaying minor fabric creasing, light surface fuzzing, and subtle wear to the inner collar band consistent with age and use. Shoulder-to-shoulder measures 18", pit-to-pit measures 21", overall length from back collar to hem is 30", and sleeve length is 24".
