Dating to the late 1970s through the 1980s, this pair of women's prairie-style blouse and skirt sets features lightweight, textured 100% cotton construction with long sleeves and mid-calf hem lines. The off-white example displays a vertical ribbed weave, front button placket, lace bodice trim, a peplum-style waistband, rear waist ties, and a two-tiered gathered skirt accented with satin ribbon borders. The second dress, presented in a subtle beige plaid cotton, exhibits a high ruffled Victorian-style neck, ruffled lace yoke details across the chest, horizontal lace insertions near the hemline, and a fully gathered skirt with rear button closures; its interior cloth label notes "Made in India" and size 9 (modern size 3/4). Both garments arein sound vintage condition, displaying light age-appropriate wear and minor storage marks. Visible flaws include faint surface discoloration spots on the off-white dress and typical fiber slubbing natural to woven cotton, with all seams and primaryclosures remaining intact. The off-white dress measures up to 34 in bust, 26 in waist skirt and up to 28" waist on the blouse that can be tied back, and 45 in total length; the beige dress measures up to 35 in bust, 26 in waist, and 46 in total length. Reflecting romantic Victorian revival trends popular in late 20th-century fashion, this set offers strong display appeal for vintage clothing enthusiasts, cottage-core collectors and retro vintage wearers.
