Produced by Duplers Furs, this mid 1950s mink fur cape wrap features a rich brown pelt construction arranged in horizontal and vertical panels. The garment incorporates an ornamental front closure comprised of braided passementerie frog fasteners with linked chain accents. Lined in a deep brown satin fabric featuring a printed blue floral motif, the piece includes a stitched cloth label near the upper back seam identifying the maker as "Duplers Furs." Exhibiting light overall wear consistent with age and gentle use, the fur remains soft, supple, and glossy with light edge wear. The interior satin lining shows minor creasing, faint discoloration around the inner neckline, and small areas of thread wear. Dimensions measure 21 inches from theback collar seam to the bottom hem, with an approximate shoulder-to-shoulder width of 17 inches and a stand up collar. Displaying mid-century formal elegance and fine fur craftsmanship, this piece presents well for vintage apparel or fine fur collectors.
