Manufactured by Duplers, this mid-to late 1940s full-length fur coat features a black pieced fur construction with a distinctive swirled and moiré pattern texture. Designed with cuffed sleeves, a rolled collar, and hidden front closure hooks, the coat is fully lined in black silk or rayon lining. An embroidered hexagonal monogram reading "NSM" is stitched inside the upper front lapel, and an embroidered black cloth label near the collar identifies the maker as "Duplers." Condition is consistent with age and gentle use, presenting a supple feel to the pelt and a dark, glossy sheen with minor scattered wear along edges and seams. The interior lining remains intact with faint creasing and light wear along stress points. Dimensions measure 43inches from collar seam to bottom hem, 36 inches from shoulder to hem, 18 inches across the shoulders, and 23 inches sleeve length. Featuring timeless mid-century tailored proportions, this garment makes an ideal addition for vintage fashion enthusiasts and collectors of period outerwear.
