Dating to the 1980s, this lot of two vintage western-style shirts features bold colorways and custom detailing. The first shirt is crafted by 233 Broadway in a size Small, is constructed of light purple acid-washed denim with contrast orange stitching, four buttoned flap chest pockets, carved metal buttons, and colorful embroidered brand patches down the placket. The second shirt is by Gordon and James in light blue cotton western shirt featuring a draped flutter cape yoke and collar, both hand-painted with colorful cowboy boot motifs; the border artwork appears to be signed "D. Harris". Condition across both garments is consistent with age and wear, displaying light wash fading, fabric creasing, and faint handling marks to the light blueshirt. Both shirts feature an oversized fit and are cut larger for the size as was the style. For the purple denim shirt: shoulder-to-shoulder measures 18.5", pit-to-pit is 21", overall length is 28", and sleeve length is 22.5". For the cape-yoke shirt: shoulder-to-shoulder measures 16.5", pit-to-pit is 20", overall length is 26", and sleeve length is 22.5". Offering distinct period character with eye-catching nouveau western flair, this lot presents a great opportunity for vintage denim collectors and wearers of retro fashion.
