Dating to the 1970s and 1980s, this lot of two women's vintage blouses includes a western-style plaid flannel shirt by Merci Jrs. and an unbranded pastel cowl-neck blouse. Constructed of 100% woven cotton flannel in a red, blue, and green tartan, theMerci Jrs. shirt features a bias-cut yoke, dual buttoned chest pockets, full button closure, and a neck label reading "Merci Jrs. / MADE IN BRITISH CROWN COLONY OF HONG KONG". The accompanying long-sleeve blouse is fashioned from a lightweight cotton-blend fabric in a teal, lavender, and grey grid check with a draped cowl collar and dropped shoulders; no maker tags are present. Condition across both garments is consistent with age and gentle wear, exhibiting light wash-wear, minor fuzzing to the flannel, and small faint spots near the collar of the cowl blouse. For the Merci flannel shirt: shoulder-to-shoulder measures 15.5", pit-to-pit is 18", overall length is 25", and sleeve length is 22.5". For the cowl blouse: shoulder-to-shoulder measures 18.5", pit-to-pit is 19-20", overall length is 23", and sleeve length is 19.5". Featuring complementary casual styling from two distinct decades, this lot presents an ideal pairing for vintage fashion collectors or wardrobe re-sellers.
