Featuring a teal and blue feather-patterned textile, this late 20th-century Western shirt bears a sewn label reading "MAURY TATE’S ‘MO’ BETTA / BY TERRI / BOX 349 / APACHE, OK 73006." Constructed of 100% cotton, the long-sleeve shirt features a band-style collar, full button front, pointed Western front and back yokes, two button-flap chest pockets, button cuffs, and a curved shirttail hem. Matching teal buttons complement the patterned fabric. The shirt presents well with light wear consistent with age and use, including minor wrinkling and handling wear. The maker and care labels show light age-related discoloration, while the fabric, seams, buttons, and pockets appear generally well preserved with no major tears or losses visible. Measures 16 1/2 in. at the neck, up to 46 in. at the chest, and 36 in. long. vintage western wear and rodeo button-downs founded by rodeo legend Maury Tate in Apache, Oklahoma, and famously worn by country star Garth Brooks. A visually distinctive example of Maury Tate’s Mo Betta Western wear, combining classic rodeo-inspired tailoring with an especially bold period textile pattern. BP
