Spiegel Huntmaster Model 128 12ga

Updated August 24, 2026

Lot 7526 features an unusual vintage Spiegel Huntmaster Model 128 bolt-action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. This vintage smoothbore firearm features a 28-inch barrel with a clean, shiny bore, set into a heavy-duty receiver frame and a full-sized wooden stock with a traditional pistol-grip wrist. Conditioned in fair overall state, both the shotgun and included detachable magazine display plenty of handling wear and surface patina from age. Spiegel catalog firearms were store-branded shotguns manufactured by prominent mid-century makers like Mossberg or Stevens, sold through the famous Spiegel mail-order catalogs to rural shooters across mid-century America. Please note that the bolt does not lock in place and the firearm seems like it needs work to operate before use, presenting a rewarding project for gunsmithing enthusiasts or catalog gun collectors.
