Lot 7521 showcases an authentic American classic, the Winchester Model 37 break-action single-shot shotgun chambered in popular 20 gauge. This iconic longarm features a 28-inch steel barrel with a clean, shiny bore, paired with a solid steel receiver frame and classic American hardwood stock and forend. Rated in fair overall condition, the metal finish exhibits plenty of visible surface rust and heavy handling wear throughout, reflecting its long history as a beloved working farm and hunting gun. First introduced by Winchester in 1936, the Model 37 became legendary for its top-lever break-open design, exposed hammer, and indestructible steel construction, earning the nickname "Steelbody" among generations of hunters. Please note that this shotgun seems like it needs work to operate prior to use, making it an outstanding restoration candidate or wall-hanger display piece for vintage Winchester collectors.
