Taurus PT-22 .22LR

Updated August 24, 2026

This Taurus PT-22 semi-automatic pistol is chambered in .22 LR and offers a compact pocket-pistol configuration with a distinctive tip-up barrel design. Serial number Z078785, this example features an approximately 2.75" barrel with a shiny bore and remains in good overall condition. The pistol utilizes a compact frame with synthetic grip panels, an exposed hammer, and a tip-up barrel that gives the PT-22 its recognizable appearance. One magazine is included. Taurus developed the PT-22 as an economical compact rimfire handgun with styling and operating characteristics influenced by classic European pocket pistols. The tip-up barrel arrangement is one of the design’s defining characteristics and helps distinguish it from more conventional blowback-operated rimfire pistols. With its diminutive dimensions, shiny bore, included magazine, and inexpensive .22 LR chambering, this PT-22 is an interesting little pistol for the Taurus collector or pocket-pistol enthusiast.
