Mossberg Maverick Model 88 12ga

Updated August 24, 2026

This Mossberg Maverick Model 88 pump-action shotgun is chambered in 12 gauge and offers the straightforward sporting configuration that has made the Maverick series a familiar sight among American shotgun owners. Serial number MV0211927, this example features an approximately 28" ventilated-rib barrel with a shiny bore and is in fair overall condition. The shotgun utilizes a durable receiver paired with traditional synthetic furniture and a conventional sporting-style grip and stock configuration. The long ribbed barrel gives the firearm the classic proportions associated with field and clay-target shotguns. Manufactured under the Mossberg family, the Maverick 88 has developed a reputation as a simple and practical pump-action design that shares much of its heritage with Mossberg’s famous Model 500 series. Its combination of a traditional 28" barrel, familiar pump action, and no-nonsense styling makes this a recognizable sporting shotgun. Showing the cosmetic character expected of a fair-condition firearm, this Maverick offers plenty of honest utility and classic Mossberg lineage. Please see photos.
