Smith & Wesson SW9VE 9mm

Updated August 24, 2026

This Smith & Wesson SW9VE semi-automatic pistol is chambered in 9mm and represents a practical example of the company’s Sigma-series striker-fired handgun family. Serial number PBY4846, this example features an approximately 3.9" barrel with a shiny bore and remains in good overall condition. The pistol features a durable polymer frame with a textured synthetic grip paired with a contrasting stainless-finished slide, producing the attractive two-tone appearance noted on this example. One magazine is included. The Sigma series was Smith & Wesson’s early entry into the modern polymer-frame, striker-fired pistol market and helped pave the way for later designs, including the company’s highly successful M&P family. The SW9VE became a particularly common version thanks to its straightforward design, full-size handling characteristics, and 9mm chambering. With its two-tone finish, included magazine, shiny bore, and recognizable Smith & Wesson name, this is a solid example of an important generation of S&W semi-automatic pistols. Please see photos.
