"Just Doin' What He Can" by wildlife and western artist Lee Cable Matted and Framed 22 5/8" x 18.5" x 3/4" The Cowboy & His Gear: The central focal point is a buckskin or dun horse, fully saddled and bridled. It stands patiently on a muddy, rain-slicked patch of ground, which serves as a canvas for glistening reflections. A black and white dog (resembling a Border Collie or heeler mix) stands faithfully near the horse’s front legs. To the right, a lone cowboy clad in a classic bright yellow slicker duster and a black hat stands with his back to the viewer, leaning against a dark wooden corral fence. Draped proudly over the wooden fence is a large American flag, adding a distinct theme of rural patriotism and Americana to the piece. Sunlight breaks subtly through a heavy, dark cloud layer in the upper portion of the painting. The piece is presented inside a wide, matching natural wood frame.
