Cobalt Pennant Peanut Jar and Planters Decanter

Two items, and bidders deserve the research on the first one. (1) A cobalt blue octagonal panel Planters counter jar with a matching cobalt lid and a molded peanut shell finial, embossed PLANTERS at the shoulder and PENNANT, 5 cents, SALTED, PEANUTS on the front panel with a standing Mr. Peanut in relief on each flanking panel. It measures roughly 14 and three quarter inches. Offered here as a later reproduction rather than a period jar. Collector references hold that the original Pennant octagon jar was made in clear glass only, originals are catalogued at 8 inches square by 12 inches high, and the embossing here is soft with orange peel texture. The base was not photographed and should be checked. (2) A Planters Mr. Peanut figural decanter with its glass top hat cap and original Nabisco labels. Condition is good, no chips found. Sold as-is.
