This Brazilian vaqueiro-style leather hat has wear consistent with use and storage, including surface rubbing, discoloration, scuffs, and general wear to the leather and straps. The interior bears a partially legible oval maker/dealer stamp that appears to include Caruaru, referring to Caruaru, Pernambuco, Brazil, along with a separate "9" marking. Constructed of leather with a rounded crown, stitched brim, decorative perforated detailing, and leather ties. Includes the accompanying leather riding whip/crop with a leather-covered handle, wrapped accents, long flexible leather lash, wrist strap, and buckle hardware. The whip also has wear consistent with use and age. A distinctive piece of Brazilian equestrian and vaqueiro-style gear with strong decorative appeal.
