An Italian .800 silver coffee pot of baluster form, standing on a flared circular pedestal foot. The vessel features an S-scroll handle and a swan-neck spout. The hinged, domed lid is surmounted by an acorn-shaped finial. The design is finished with simple moulded bands around the upper body and foot. Stamped to the underside of the base with the fineness mark 800 in an oval, an Italian lozenge mark containing 174 MI identifying the silversmith registration and the Milan assay office, and the number 24. Height approx. 23 cm Weight approx. 231 g. Condition: Surface tarnishing and minor wear consistent with age and use.
