A pair of contemporary landscape paintings executed in an expressive impressionist style on stretched canvas. One work depicts a lakeside scene with trees in vivid yellow and orange autumnal foliage, their forms mirrored in the dark water. The second composition shows a rushing stream or rapids flowing through a wooded area, characterized by thick, textured brushwork and bright highlights. Both paintings feature heavy paint application and a vibrant palette of yellows, oranges, and greens. The canvases are stapled to wooden stretcher frames and are not framed.
