Antique South African "Shil Havu" dagger featuring a long, narrow double-edged steel blade with a pronounced central ridge and a dark carved wood handle. Accompanied by its distinctive fitted wooden sheath extensively wrapped in fine metal wire and fitted with an integral projecting suspension lug. The blade displays hand-worked characteristics and an aged surface, giving the piece a strong ethnographic character. 13 1/2" overall length with a 10 1/2" blade.
