This mid-century modern artwork consists of a rectangular hand painted ceramic plaque depicting a stylized scene of two figures seated at a table with a red bottle and two yellow chalices. The figurative abstract composition is rendered ina palette of red, yellow, and gray with a granular, textured surface. The plaque is mounted onto a red textile backing within a deep wooden shadow-box frame. A stylized artist signature (illegible) is located in the lower right corner ofthe plaque. The reverse of the frame features a metal sawtooth hanger and a distressed brown paper dust cover. 14 x 18.5 inches.The ceramic surface is in good condition with no visible cracks or chips. The red textile backing shows minor wrinkling. The wooden frame displays light surface scuffing and minor wear to the finish. 14 x 18.5 inches.
