Jay Strongwater Enamel & Swarovski Rose Frame

A circular picture frame by Jay Strongwater, featuring a gold-tone cast metal frame in the Art Nouveau style. The design incorporates a high-relief border of trailing vines and leaves leading to a large blossomed rose at the lower left.The metalwork is decorated with hand-applied translucent and opaque enamels in shades of forest green, chartreuse, and ivory. The frame is heavily accented with pavé-set and individual Swarovski crystals in clear and green tones. Thecentral aperture contains a reproduction print of a woman in an impressionist style. The reverse of the frame is finished in a green guilloché-style enamel. Markings include a small rectangular metal plaque inset at the top marked JAYSTRONGWATER and a hand-applied script signature in gold-tone pigment reading Jay Strongwater 2007. This lot includes the original brown presentation box, a black fabric drawstring bag, and a small metal screwdriver tool in a plasticThe frame is in excellent condition with no visible damage to the enamel or metalwork. All crystals appear to be present and securely set. The original presentation box shows minor shelf wear to the exterior. 6.25 L x 5.25 H inches.
