This lot features two glazed porcelain figurines manufactured by Lladro in Spain, both designed by Salvador Debon. The first figure, titled Oriental Spring (model number 4988), depicts a woman in a traditional Japanese kimono of pale green and blue tones, holding an open light blue parasol and a folded white fan. The second figure, titled Sayonara (model number 4989), depicts a woman in a pink and brown kimono holding a small fan and gesturing with her right hand. Both figures are standing on integral, fluted circular bases finished in a dark brown glaze. The underside of each base bears the blue Lladro bellflower back stamp, which includes the text LLADRO, HAND MADE IN SPAIN, and DAISA 1978. Multiple incised marks are present on the bases, including a heart symbol, various numerical characters, and letter codes such as E-27 J U and N. Both figurines are in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or evidence of repair. The delicate protruding elements, specifically the parasol on Oriental Spring and the fans on both figures, are fully intact.
