Shipibo-Konibo Ceremonial Woman with Bowl Master Amazonian Ceramic Sculpture. This exceptional Shipibo-Konibo Ceremonial Woman with Bowl is a completely original hand-crafted ceramic sculpture by renowned Peruvian master artisan Leidy Martinez Panduro. Monumental in presence and extraordinarily detailed, the work portrays an Indigenous Amazonian woman seated in a dignified frontal position while presenting a small decorated vessel in her right hand. The figure is modeled with a serene expression, large almond-shaped eyes, carefully formed facial features, traditional body ornamentation, and a broad sculptural silhouette. Her offering gesture gives the composition a welcoming and ceremonial character, suggesting the importance of food, drink, hospitality, and communal sharing within everyday Shipibo-Konibo life. Unless further information is supplied directly by the artist, the precise narrative meaning should remain open to interpretation. Nearly the entire surface is covered with intricate kene designs painted in cream, black, terracotta, and deep brown. Fine labyrinth-like lines flow across the face, torso, arms, and lower body, while larger geometric structures frame the composition and emphasize its symmetry.
