Shipibo-Konibo Mother and Children Master Amazonian Ceramic Sculpture. This exceptional Shipibo-Konibo Mother and Children is a completely original hand-crafted ceramic sculpture by celebrated Peruvian master artisan Leidy Martinez Panduro. Monumental in presence and richly decorated, the work portrays an Indigenous Amazonian woman carrying two small children, one resting upon each shoulder, creating a tender image of motherhood, family, and cultural continuity. The central figure is modeled with an expressive face, carefully articulated eyes, ears, lips, and hands, while the two children are represented as affectionate companions embracing the mother from either side. Her broad ceremonial necklace, traditional facial decoration, and dignified frontal posture emphasize feminine identity, strength, and the importance of women within Shipibo-Konibo family and community life. Nearly the entire surface is covered with intricate kene designs. Fine labyrinth-like lines are combined with bold symmetrical geometric compositions in cream, black, reddish brown, and deep earth tones. The patterns extend across the face, body, arms, and clothing, transforming the rounded sculptural form into a continuous field of highly refined Amazonian visual language. Within Shipibo-Konibo culture, kene is associated with harmony, identity, spirituality, ancestral knowledge, and the ordering of the natural and visionary worlds. Each pattern is individually drawn and painted by hand, ensuring that every sculpture is entirely unique. With its substantial scale, powerful maternal subject, and extraordinarily detailed decoration, this original work is a distinguished example of contemporary Indigenous Amazonian art. Its commanding form makes it particularly suitable for an important private collection, gallery, cultural institution, hotel, or refined interior display. Works by the artist have previously been presented through auctions organized by the Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI). ARTIST Leidy Martinez Panduro (San Rafael, Masisea, Ucayali, Peru, b. 1983) is a recognized Shipibo-Konibo master ceramic artist from the distinguished Panduro family of Amazonian artisans.
