4 Antique Ernst Heubach Bisque Head Dolls & Bodies

A group of four antique German bisque head dolls manufactured by Ernst Heubach, consisting of three socket head models and one shoulder head model. The collection features several examples of mold number 275, including an 18 inch socket head doll marked 275-6/0 and a 16.5 inch example bearing the Perfection Germany washable doll distributor label. A smaller 14 inch shoulder head doll is marked with a 15/0 circular stamp and features composition lower arms. The 13 inch socket head doll is incised with an excised cross mark above the Germany inscription. The dolls are fitted to kid leather bodies with gusseted joints at the hips and knees, characteristic of German doll production from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The heads feature tinted bisque with open mouths and inset teeth. Measurements: 18 inches 16.5 inches 14 inches 13 inches. This lot shows expected wear and fragility consistent with age. The dolls require restoration as they are missing arms and eye mechanisms. The kid leather bodies exhibit typical acidification, staining, and surface losses. Previous repairs and minor hairlines are present.
