Fulper Bisque Head Character Toddler Doll

This character doll features a bisque socket head and a five-piece jointed composition toddler-style body with curved limbs. The back of the head is marked with a vertical recessed cartouche containing the name FULPER and is incised with the mold numbers 8 and 9. The doll is equipped with blue glass sleep eyes, painted upper and lower eyelashes, and multi-stroke feathered eyebrows. The open mouth reveals two molded upper teeth and a molded tongue. It wears a blonde synthetic mohair wig styled in ringlet curls with bangs. The doll is dressed in a teal-green long-sleeved coat with a wide lace-trimmed collar and cuffs, featuring two mother-of-pearl buttons. The ensemble is completed with cream-colored cotton pantaloons with lace trim, white knit ankle socks, and cream-colored faux-leather buckle shoes with decorative button accents. The bisque head is in excellent condition, showing no cracks, chips, or repairs. The composition body retains a very high-gloss, uniform finish. There are minor red pigment marks visible on the tips of the fingers on both hands. The clothing is clean and shows no significant wear.
