Seller: Isabella Thompson Group Affiliation: Manzanita 4-H Species: Swine Hello! My name is Isabella Thompson, and I’m excited to share that this is my seventh year in Manzanita 4-H! I have always enjoyed working with pigs, and each year has been a new opportunity for me to learn, grow, and gain more experience. This year, I chose to continue working with hogs for my 4-H project. My pig’s name is Butch! You might wonder why I chose that name. To me, Butch is just a funny name, and it seemed to fit him perfectly. He loves being brushed and playing in the water, although somehow it always turns into playing in the mud! Working with Butch has been such a fun and rewarding experience. I have enjoyed getting to know his personality and spending time with him throughout my project. When I’m not working with my pig, you can find me playing softball or volleyball. This year, I’m excited to be a freshman at Gridley High School, where I will also be playing on the GHS freshman volleyball team. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and making memories with the people I care about. Being involved in sports and 4-H gives me the opportunity to try new things, challenge myself, and too continue learning and growing. I would be thrilled if you would consider purchasing Butch at the auction. Your support would mean so much to me and would help me continue my journey in 4-H while also helping me save for my swine project next year. I’ll be showcasing Butch on Thursday, August 27th at 8:00 AM with Manzanita 4-H. I’ll also be auctioning him off to the highest bidder at the Butte County Fair on Saturday, August 29th, starting at 10:00 AM.
