Seller: Laneisha Cardenas Group Affiliation: Independent Species: Swine Dear Potential Buyer My name is Laneisha Cardenas. I am 12 years old and going into 7th grade. This year I am showing my market hog, Puddles, as an Independent Exhibitor at the Butte County Fair. Raising Puddles has taught me a lot about responsibility and taking care of an animal every day.Even during summer break, I get up at 7:30 in the morning to check on her. I check on her 3-4 times a day, I make sure she has food and water and walk her10 minutes a day. On really hot days I spray her with water to make sure she keeps cool. Every Sunday I weigh her to keep track of her and make sure she is eating good.Overall, Puddles has become very special to me she loves cotton candy and doing zoomies. I have really enjoyed spending my summer raising her, and getting her ready for the fair.The money I earn from selling Puddles will be saved toward buying my own truck someday and helping pay for my future livestock project.
